Formed in 1991 in Durham, England, hardcore band Voorhees became as known over the next decade for their never-ending revolving membership as for their numerous releases.
These included EPs like 1993's Violent, 1997's What You See Is What You Get, 1999's Fireproof, and 2000's Bookburner, and albums such as 1994's Spilling Blood Without Reason, 1996's Smiling at Death, 1999's 13, and 2001's Crystal Lake's Legacy -- all of them brimming with hateful hardcore fury. Through it all, vocalist Ian was the only constant member of the group, and by September 2001 he was the only one, since bandmates Rich (guitar), James (guitar), Steve (bass), and Dave (drums) all decided to quit and start a new band named the Horror. In addition, the last three also make up hard rockers the Sex Maniacs. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
